JOHN WICK - a capsule review by Camilo Arenivar

Keanu Reeves is back as John Wick, a very seriously bad ass mother effer.  He was "the man you called to get rid of the Boogeyman". I really don't want to go into too many details because I saw this movie knowing almost nothing about it except that it was a well reviewed action movie and I think that helped with my enjoyment, not knowing exactly what to expect.

The movie is produced by Eva Longoria and features the directorial debuts of David Leitch and Chad Stahleski, known for their work with stunts in The Matrix, V For Vendetta, 300, and Fight Club to name a few. Well, that work in stunts comes in handy here in this extremely violent, stylish yet elegant action film. Shootings, stabbings, car chases, martial arts, it's all here. Throw in Wilem Dafoe and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Adrianne Malicki for good mix and you have an unstoppable action movie with tons of violence.  Very well done vengeance film despite the body count. Or is it because of it? Either way, the entertainment value is high here if that is what you are looking for! Not for the squeamish, it earns it's R rating!
